How does your garden grow?

It's 12:16 am and I can't sleep.

It was such a gorgeous day here in northern California, and my mind is racing, thinking about the kinds of veggies I'll be planting soon.

I'm also going to try my hand at raised beds.

We currently have a pear tree and blueberries. I'm going to plant tomatoes (sungolds-we had them coming out our ears last summer), radishes, cukes, zuchini, and a variety ofherbs.

But I'm looking for some inspiration - so tell me, what do you like to grow?? I have a large yard but, frustratingly enough, not alot of flat gardening space.

p.s. Thank you all for your kind comments on my last post. You guys are the best! Your support and a few days in tahoe took the sting away. I owe you all a solid.

There is NEVER enough garden space! I can't wait to get my garden started, but living in Ohio, I still have quite a ways to go.

I love planting tomatoes. And plant some jalapenos too so you can make salsa. We plant peas, string beans, radish, green pepper, watermelon (if there's enough room. They are viney and spread on the ground), lettuce, spinach, green onion, yellow onion, eggplant, zucchini. One year I planted corn but it was kind of chewy, not at all crisp. I love planting lots of herbs. I had so much basil that I dried some and I just used some in my sauce last night. I love using my garden in the middle of winter :)

I can never get enough out of my little garden so I joined a CSA this year too. She's all about organic farming so I am truly looking forward to the growing season and all the yummy veggies we'll be getting.
