I thought most people had heard about this, but just in case you haven't...Dey Pharmaceuticals (makers of the EpiPen) have changed the design of the Epi-Pens!
Here's a link to a PDF that explains everything that's new about the pens.
But what you might not realize? The new size might just make your carrier obsolete (i.e. they wont fit!).
My good bloggy friend Denine (she's so great - I love knowing her!!) was kind enough to take a photo of both the old and new Epi on her Facebook account (hope you don't mind D!). See for yourself the difference in size.
We're not due to refill our Rx for a while. But I know that with the new pen will come another training for anyone who is around B.

Thank goodness I read your blog! I had no idea about this.
I thought I was signed up to all the information services, Allergy UK, the Anaphylaxis campaign etc etc but apparently not enough of them. My son's 2 pens run out mid next year so not for a while but I'm glad to have this info - at least I can start training people just before we get the new pens rather than realising when we get them that they're different!
Oh wait, I'm in the UK. Maybe we're not getting them yet! I'll calm down again!
Hello, just stop by from Nut-Free mom blog! I know of the new design but this is the first time seeing the new and old side by side. I have to admit, I am disappointed. When everything under the sun is getting smaller (look at ipods!) the epi pens are getting bigger....(sigh!)
The cases from Medi-Episafe.com are flexible enough to fit the new design.
